About SVM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
It is a time to look back and also forward with renewed confidence. A human being is, of course not immortal but the institution building can be immortal, and provided we steadfastly adhere to the essential value of service to society. This was when the seed of education was sowed at SVM by Late S.D.alias Baburao Parulekar, with the joint cooperation of L. Acharya Bhise and L.S.K. Patil who began the school in 1969 with a modest beginning of 12 students. Their efforts took root in the soil of SVM and grew like a sapling nurtured for robust growth. The education process has begun in right earnest. Thanks to the foresight of the founders – patron who did ever dream that this little baby would live on a 50 yrs and more and go on to give meaning to the lives of 100s and 100s of young people.
With a handful of just 12 students under the guidance of Late Shri. Devrao Gavankar our school was blooming from a bud to a flower. Education is the essence by which we can reach for the fruits from the Tree of knowledge and realize one’s own true self. This consciousness is self-realization.
The school on its long journey has passed through many phases like a river. The upper course, the rapid waterfalls are like tumultuous beginning of the school, the building of the infrastructure, the setting up of the teaching faculty and disciplining the students. All these aspects were taken into stride for building a strong institution. Admissions started pouring in at SVM School empowering it with the zeal of providing quality education to all irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
Like any other institution the road to success was not an easy one for S.V.M., number of difficulties were encountered, especially due to lack of funds. Fortunately today our school stands strong as a pillar of strength to cater to all the needs of the students.
Academically speaking the dedication of our teachers and studentshelped us to achieve cent percent results and exemplary performance of our students.
Our school has always tried to identify the hidden talents of our students by encouraging them to participate in various curricular and co-curricular activities, in fact S.V.M. has laid the landmark for innumerable stalwarts in various fields representing diverse profession like Doctors, Engineers, Advocates, Businessmen, Technocrats, Artist, Architects and what not.
It has produced countless stalwarts both at the national and international levels in the fields of sports, politics, education, theatre and medicine.
